Kent Probation is one of the largest probation services in England and Wales. Every year Kent Probation supervises around 6,000 offenders on community orders and licences and prepares around 5,500 reports for the courts. Over 500 staff work in the community, courts, the hostel and prisons as well as on secondment to various agencies.
The Public Have Voted On How They Want Offenders To Payback In Thanet

Chief Officer Sarah Billiald and Neighbourhood Crime and Justice Co-ordinator Tiffany Hall visited St Peter’s Churchyard in Broadstairs today to announce which project the public have voted will receive work carried out by offenders on Community Payback.
In 54 Neighbourhood Crime & Justice Pioneer Areas of which Thanet is included the public were for the first time able to vote at direct.gov on which of 5 schemes they wanted carried out by offenders on Community Payback.
